Bankruptcy and insolvency
Bankruptcy and insolvency law
Ahlford has six official receivers and therefore handles a large number of bankruptcies every year. We possess a high level of expertise in the field of issues relating to insolvency.
An official receiver is appointed by the district court and must represent the interests of the parties with the claims, i.e. the creditors. It is therefore important to gain a quick overview of the situation in the company and to assess whether the conditions exist for continuing the business and in general to manage the assets available in order to achieve the best possible result for both the debtor and the creditors in the bankruptcy.
Ahlford also deals with wage guarantee issues and bookkeeping in the bankruptcy cases.
Ahlford also often represents companies and private individuals in the capacity of creditors in insolvency-related cases.
Company reconstructions
A company reconstruction is a special institution set up to help a company that is experiencing difficulties in paying.
The district court appoints a reconstructor, who reviews the company's financial status. The reconstructor investigates the possibilities of continuing to run the business and investigates the opportunities of reaching an agreement with the creditors in order to ease the burden of debt for the company and thus avoid a bankruptcy.
Ahlford takes on reconstruction assignments and also represents creditors or other parties in similar cases.
